Waffle On A Stick

These days I see “waffle on a stick” everywhere on Instagram. If you don’t want to buy one of these special waffle makers, then you can certainly do it with your good old waffle iron. It is incredibly simple to make. Eid is right around the corner, and these will be perfect for a buffet and a big hit with the kids and adults alike. Make sure to provide plenty of topping options. Scroll down for some free printables.

1. Make your favorite waffle recipe. Mine is from the Pioneer Woman here.

2. Cook the waffle as directed in your machine. Add one or two food safe wooden sticks (local craft store or online) to the four triangular sections of the batter. Make sure the sticks go all the way to the tip of the triangle so that they can support the weight of the waffle and the toppings you will be adding on later.

3. Cook the waffle until brown. And then gently lift the cooked waffles out of the iron onto a cutting board. Wait to cool slightly and then cut along the “+”.

4. Voila! You have some waffles on sticks.

5. Top with all your favorite toppings. My kids chose caramel sauce, berries, and sprinkles.

I have a cute set of printables for your next Eid buffet waffle bar here:
